The new Ultra 1.8 ABS standalone AM EAS system offers retailers an affordable and reliable anti-theft solution. The pedestal’s elegant open frame seamlessly blends into any retail environment while serving as an effective visual deterrent against theft and achieving superior detection rates in all environments, even the noisiest ones.

Integrated electronic components are located within the main pedestal’s base cover, eliminating the need for an external controller and reducing installation and maintenance costs. The coverage area is 0.9m (3 ft) for a single aisle and 1.8m (6 ft) for a dual aisle. The integrated alarm, located in the main pedestal’s base, emits a specific sound to alert store staff when protected items pass through the detection zone. Additionally, it illuminates red to provide a visual notification.

In the system configuration, the « Tags-too-Close » feature was developed to help store employees better manage the display of anti-theft tagged items at the front of the store. This feature helps reduce unnecessary and costly service calls and the number of false alarms, thereby enhancing the customer experience.
